FAQ-ANSWERED!

When is the ideal time to photograph a newborn in your style?

The ideal time to photograph your baby in the posed newborn style you see in my portfolio is within the first 14 days after birth. I do routinely photograph babies up to approximately one month old, however, it does become less likely that I can capture all the poses you see in galleries with baby more alert and active. Preemies can typically be photographed a bit older than a full-term baby. To check availability for scheduling your session, please contact me and I will reach out regarding an available session date.

Where do the newborn sessions take place? How long are the sessions?

Breanna Michelle Photography does newborn sessions in her home studio located in Muscle Shoals, AL. I do not mind traveling to your home to offer and “in home” newborn session, but please be advised that you will not have access to all of the items that I provide in my regular newborn sessions. (please see below)
Full newborn sessions typically take approximately 2 to 3.5 hours depending on the baby so I usually try and schedule them in the morning around baby’s feeding time. Sessions could run longer depending on baby so I strongly suggest you do not schedule any other appointments for the day of your session. Newborn mini sessions typically last about an hour since baby is wrapped only. (To view newborn session options, please CLICK HERE.)

What do I need to bring to the session? Do I need to provide anything? Do you capture multiple set-ups?

Breanna Michelle Photography provides everything for your newborn session! Her in-home studio includes lighting, heating, accessories, hats, tiebacks, bows, wraps, buckets/props & backdrops of all kinds. I will send you a questionnaire to fill out before your session. This will help me with the planning & set up of your session so please be as specific as possible!
If you have a certain outfit and/or keepsake that you want to include in the session, I will absolutely do my best to incorporate it as well.
I capture a variety of different looks at your newborn session & full newborn sessions include family/sibling poses as well.
I can typically get three different set ups during the session. Additionally, I do capture several angles of each pose to offer you a variety of options in your gallery.

What days can I schedule my session?

Not only am I a photographer, I also work full time Monday through Friday so scheduling is limited & booking your session early is always best to ensure you get on my list.
For outside sessions, I typically schedule them in the evening time, during the “golden hour” of the day. (right before sunset)
Newborn sessions are typically scheduled in the morning times on Saturdays & Sundays. I can accommodate some weekdays as well if booked far enough in advance.

How long does it take to receive my gallery?

I strive to have galleries returned to you within 2 weeks from your session date.

Do you offer the option to download or order prints/canvases of our final images?

Absolutely! I provide affordable and professional quality prints and canvases that can be ordered directly from me! Prints/canvases are completely optional once you own the digital files, but I do urge you to use a professional lab when you print your photos. You invested in a professional newborn session so you will want any images that you print to also represent that. Please CLICK HERE to see pricing on print packages.
