Cake Smash!
The first year is the hardest. A cake smash isn't just about the baby turning one; it’s a celebration of you making it through the first 365 days of parenthood. It’s the perfect "finish line" to the newborn and infant stage before they officially become a toddler.
Your baby is turning one and it’s time to celebrate! My smash cake sessions are all about capturing joy, curiosity, and (of course) the mess!! To keep things stress-free, I can provide a fully styled set, complete with backdrops, props, and a delicious cake. I’m happy to work with the props you provide to create a look that is uniquely yours. Let’s celebrate this amazing first year with a session as sweet as they are.

BOOK THE DATE
We will discuss your theme or color palette weeks in advance. I handle the backdrops, props, and cake so you do not have to stress about anything! Please book several weeks in advance to ensure we can get on the baker's calendar!

BIRTHDAY PORTRAITS
Before the mess begins, we capture the "Classic 1st Birthday" look.
The Goal: To get a few high-quality, timeless portraits of baby in their birthday best while they are still clean. The Setup: I use a simple, beautiful backdrop that coordinates with their party theme or a timeless neutral set.
Time to Smash: Now here comes the fun part, where we will capture baby on the designed set up with their cake! Let the mess begin!

SPLASH TIME!
(Optional, but recommended)
The best way to end a cake smash is with a tiny bubble bath. The Clean Up: We bring out a vintage-style washbasin filled with warm water and bubbles.
The Best Photos: Babies almost always love the water. This is usually where we get the biggest splashes and the most genuine smiles. Plus, you get to take home a clean baby!

DELIVER MEMORIES
You will receive your edited gallery within 2 weeks of the session date! Please keep this in mind when scheduling their session if you are needing to order invitations or prints to display at their party.
